Outdoor Wedding Ceremony Altars and Backdrops

Since all of the wedding ceremonies at Lenora's Legacy take place in one of our outdoor spaces, we have seen so many beautiful ceremony ideas. Brides often wonder how they can create an altar or backdrop for their outdoor ceremony to set apart the area where they will exchange their vows. Whether you are looking for ways to create a sacred space, wish to frame out an altar area, or simply make your ceremony more beautiful, we hope that you will find inspiration in these outdoor wedding ideas from real weddings at Lenora's Legacy.

How stunning is this? Nick and Cara created a stunning ceremony backdrop with a vintage fireplace mantle adorned with a garland and shabby chic accessories.

Hannah and Alex exchanged their vows before a large rustic wooden cross at their June wedding.

Another beautiful ceremony idea is this tabletop cross on an altar table with candles.

A large rustic arbor decorated with hydrangeas created a beautiful space for Amber and Michael's wedding.

Vintage architectural items are a very cool way to define your wedding ceremony space. Okay, it's not technically an altar, but what a way to make an entrance! We just had to share Kim and Jason's ceremony decor.

Lauren and Ryan's wedding was beautifully decorated with blue Mason jars filled with baby's breath. It was a wonderful background for their vows.

I am positively obsessed with chandeliers at outdoor weddings! Jamie and Caroline hung sparkling chandeliers from a huge old tree for their September wedding. The effect was one of relaxed elegance - perfect for an outdoor wedding.
